Proposed Ofafa Community Hall Redevelopment- Kisumu

One of my biggest projects yet, the proposed redevelopment of Ofafa community hall in kisumu entailed the design of a cultural centre, hostels, and a commercial block which would house a bank hall, a supermarket and office spaces.

My concept for the cultural centre was the 'Nyatiti'- a traditional stringed instrument used by the Luos; the main community that resides in Kisumu and its environs.

I tried to maintain the 'traditional' theme with the colours and zigzag feartures on the facade, as well as maintain some modernity on the commercial block

The client had a hard time deciding how she wanted to finish her new home, colours, furniture etc, so i did some few renderings to help her decide :)

Proposed Shopping mall

This was to be located in the coastal city of Mombasa, run by a popular supermarket chain in Kenya. I designed it to give Mombasa a much needed facelift. Being a frequent visitor to the city, i felt it was about time Mombasa got a building of such stature

Riruta Apartments

These apartments have been approved and construction is commencing early 2012. They are located near the Junction mall in Nairobi..
